Romans 15:13
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Maybe you are in a dark place or a rough patch and need some hope now. Maybe you feel lonely or have just been abandoned by someone close to you. Joy and peace are yours to have. When God fills us with joy and peace, we overflow with hope. Joy is not happiness but can be a result of it. Joy is not so much a feeling as an emotion. We can choose joy. Peace can be a state of living and we can choose it in the midst of a storm. Choose both peace and joy and you will find that hope will flow from you in His power.
If you are not overflowing, let’s start doing it together now. God is pouring, starting to receive. Take a minute, unplug and do it. Say, “God, I receive your joy and peace and let me flow with hope. Let me overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."
